Energie Steiermark Selects Previse Systems for Strategic Transformation of Energy Trading Platform
Previse Systems today announced that Energie Steiermark has selected its Previse Coral platform to support the renewal of its energy trading technology landscape. This partnership marks an important step in Energie Steiermark’s broader digitalisation efforts, while also reflecting a growing need among European utilities to advance their core trading technology.
As part of this initiative, Energie Steiermark is modernising its trading environment, replacing several legacy systems with a single, integrated Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) solution. The goal is to establish a cloud-based setup that connects seamlessly with existing systems while supporting a broad range of energy commodities and trading operations.
Previse Coral serves as the foundation of this programme, delivering comprehensive ETRM capabilities within a cloud-native architecture. The solution supports trading across power, gas and renewable-related products, covering both short-term and forward markets. It also enables a scalable operating model aligned with evolving regulatory and business requirements.
The project is expected to run for just over a year and will be delivered in an agile manner across several phases. It includes implementing the solution, migrating data from legacy systems, and integrating it into Energie Steiermark’s existing IT landscape.
